Hi Ugonna Leonard,
ReplyDeleteThis is a great new resource that I'll help to promote! Thank you a lot for investing your time in this way for us. Please consider adding this video to the Ryu and that other character's section.
Street Fighter X Tekken REHAB "Heart And Money" Ryu & Balrog Guide SFXT
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t_KwHts9nV8
P.S. Congratulations on creating the next best Fighting Game tutorial resource once again and right on time for the release of SFxT
Thanks bro, I have already listed the tutorial you linked with Ryu and Balrog. (I may adjust the background later but I think the black is ok)
DeleteWhat do you think of the page?
Hi Ugonna Leonard,
ReplyDeleteI think that the page looks sleek. I like the black background which blends from the banner down. I'll get started collecting tutorials for the community that plays SFxT.
Hi Ugonna Leonard,
DeleteI think that adding an extra space to separate the categorical title "TEKKEN" from the Street Fighter category would help people who skim quickly down the page see the category change better. Also, enlarging the 'TEKKEN" font could help. Lastly, you could add another category called "GAME MECHANICS" could help to give a home to more detailed and specific tutorials on that subject which will be made in the future. The general video on the subject of "PANDORA AND GEM SYSTEM" works for now.

SFxTK - The Mist Step
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yH4xC8MQhLg&feature=player_embedded
I have already included it in the Kazuya Section. do you think its necessary to put it also in the mechanics? I was wondering if I should embed the videos on this page or leave it as text links, what do you think

P.S. I can see that the video uploader is teaching Street Fighter players concepts unique to Tekken. For this reason, I that videos like this one should be placed in the "Game Mechanics" section. Notice how the uploader has created a Mechanics series of videos using SFxTK - ... in his titles. He is using Kazuya to teach as we'd use Ryu for instruction.

P.S. It would be nice to see a note at the top of the page stating which were the last three tutorials added to the page. Before I past a link, I have to scroll down to each section to make sure that I don't duplicate someone else's efforts. Also, I had to scroll down to the end of the page and click on the comment section just to find out that "lasalle_inc" seggested two videos.

Hi lasalle_inc,
DeleteI was told that this resource is dedicated to instructional videos not combo videos no matter how much we can learn from those. The types of videos that this blog host would like to be added are ones that provide text or voice explanations within the video of the content. Thank you for your efforts because this blog is supposed to be built by the community.
P.S. Thank you Ugonna Leonard for recognizing our efforts.
Yeah that is true Kaizen Master, I did mention that in the SF4 blog but since this game is focused heavily on combos I am kinda tempted to include it, what do you think? should I include it into the tutorials or rather create a side page for it. let me know your thoughts
DeleteI'm sorry for that, i just wanna help because i like this page and this community.
DeleteHi Ugonna Leonard,
ReplyDeleteI thought that is would have been great to add combo videos to this resource at the start to help this blog gain some early attention. You could have added them to this page to gain traffic and then created a separate page for them once this blog became recognized by the community as a new resource. I didn't consider them for this blog since this is where tutorials are listed. If you were to add Combo Videos now, I think they should have their own page or section. Combo Videos are a good tool to use which will bring traffic to your blog where more important aspects of the game are covered.
OK noted, will move all subsiquent combo vids to their own page, thanks for the input. put its sad that there is so little traffic here. any ideas on how to get the word out?

DeleteHi Ugonna Leonard,
Delete#1. Make sure that all of your next tutorials have a banner or boarder that displays this web address throughout the video's duration. Many people don't read descriptions or look at you YouTube pages for more information.
#2. Consider starting a FaceBook page where you can friend request people who play specific games and who will see who is requesting to be a friend by reading your page description that give them a call to action and web address to your pages. Add me as a Facebook Friend by searching for Kaizen Master there. I couldn't find you in the past when I wanted to add you.
#3. Consider creating your first advertisement that tells the world who your are, what you do, where you do it, and how they can "interact" with you. Make sure that advertisement is posted to all of the major forums in the FGC. Be sure to list all of your resources.
#4. Define what your dreams are in your work and set dates to accomplish goals leading to your dreams. Seek out inspiration related to your dreams to ensure that you'll have energy during the down times. You can do it!
P.S. Everywhere people find you they should be called to action. One such place includes your gaming account profiles.
